Masset Accommodation:

  • Englehard’s Oceanview Lodge
"Overlooking Masset Inlet we are centrally located next to the Government Wharf. The lodge opened in 2003 and has spacious rooms on the waterfront furnished with 2 double beds, TV, telephones, modern bathroom and full breakfast.”  I’ve heard (i.e., have never seen it) that this is a good place to stay in Masset. It’s on the waterfront, it’s clean and has rooms with a water view of Masset Inlet."

  • Alaska View Lodge
"Surrounded by the natural rain forest of Naikoon Provincial Park and situated on the beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Alaskan Islands. The Alaska View Lodge Bed and Breakfast is the perfect place to enjoy your stay on the Queen Charlotte Islands. Explore the miles of beautiful sandy beach, where beachcombing is the best on the Island. Migrating whales, agates on the beach and eagles soaring overhead are familiar sights, where nightfall can bring glimpses of the Northern Lights. In summertime you see beautiful sunsets and sunrises. All this can be viewed from the balconies of the cozy oceanfront guest rooms or the large front deck overlooking the beach."

Sounds nice doesn’t it? Haven’t been there myself but with a write up like that I think I better go soon.

Prince Rupert Accommodation:

There are lots of choices for good accommodation in Prince Rupert. Have a look at their website: Tourism Prince Rupert ~ Accommodations.
  • Preferring a view, I’m kind of partial to the Eagles Bluff B & B “Experience Prince Rupert’s Waterfront”. Again, I’ve never seen it up close so can’t recommend it unequivocally but judging by the pictures on their site, it does appear to have a nice homey feel, a great location and wonderful water views.
